Jeremiah 35:18-19 KJV
And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:

[19] Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not lack a man to stand before me for ever.

Today we come across a group of people called the Rechabites, who had dedicated themselves unto Holy Living through the instructions of their father. They had never had any wine in their lives, amongst a number of things.

God was very impressed with this. In fact He is always impressed with those stand for a good cause and follow through with it, without any compromise whatsoever.

“Even if Rechabites would obey their earthly father to this extent, how much more wouldn’t they obey Me?” This was God’s argument to Jeremiah. He sees everything we do and what is more, He judges our motives.

Never relent in whatever good cause you’ve chosen. Keep your motives clean irrespective of whatever whoever says, albeit, the blessing God released to the sons of Rechab (v19) shall be yours.
