Isaiah 66:1-2 KJV
Thus saith the Lord , The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
[2] For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord : but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
As we bring the book of Isaiah to an end today, I’d like to focus our attention on one thing that matters much to God. Where does God actually live?
I remember when that sound track (He lives in me) for the Lion King Movie was released, thousand of Christians fell in love with it. Though it wasn’t preaching the gospel per se, folks could easily identify with the lyrics.
It made a lot of sense, and mirrored what The Saviour came to do.
No grandeur edifice is satisfactory enough for Him because He’s seen it all. He said He actually made all those things. What He wants is the one you have, that which is inside you, a poor and a contrite heart.
A poor heart isn’t one that lacks materially, but one that has recognized that the very reason for its existence is its Saviour, so that the NEED for its Saviour is paramount above all else.
Create that condition for Him to come live in.
Have a blessed day.
