HEPHZIBAH – Fri, Feb 05, 2016

Isaiah 62:4 KJV
Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

A change of name is always significant everywhere in the world. Young maidens change their names when they get married and more often than not are delighted to do so.

You look at the account of Jacob and you’d realise that the u-turn in his life actually happened when the angel of the Lord changed his name to Israel.

In ministering to a people who needed hope, Isaiah declared that they’ll no longer bear their names. They shall now be called Hephzibah, which means ‘the Lord’s delight.’ God has an agenda to produce righteousness in you with this name.

The name has been conferred upon you as a believer. Your righteousness must be bright enough for everyone around you to see so they can acknowledge He who named you. You are Hephzibah.

Have a blessed Friday.
