Isaiah 32:9 NKJV
Rise up, you women that are at ease; hear my voice, you complacent daughters; give ear unto my speech.
As I read through the chapter 32 of Isaiah today, I recalled some of the prophecies of Nostradamus, the ancient French philosopher and astrologer. History had it that his predictions were so on point.
Isaiah’s prophecies were usually directed at nations who had profaned the name of the Lord. But he also had a few words for those individuals who had become complacent. God would not tolerate complacency.
Too many of us have become like the women of Jerusalem. We have become too familiar with the Christian Religion to the extent we are no longer in a position to push ourselves to better spiritual heights.
We are too comfortable with our prayers and church attendance and nothing seems to wow us about Him anymore. Isaiah’s message is simple to us; Let us arise, lest the thorns and briers come upon us. (v 13)
Have a blessed day.
