Isaiah 33:1 KJV
Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
When people are abused at a tender age, social systems usually require that they go through one form of counseling or the other, so that their experience(s) would not influence their adulthood
So one of the chief reasons for these correctional facilities and time with counsellors is to curb perpetration of evil. It is important to end a cycle of deep hurt and anger that is capped inside man. Otherwise, these could be good fuel for evil to continue.
But Isaiah warns another group of people, who have actually not been abused or treacherously dealt with in the past and yet have taken up a path of meting out evil to others. Great sorrow shall fall on all such people.
For each situation you find yourself in, remember how well you were dealt with when it was your turn, and at least resolve to do SAME, if not BETTER, for another person in the same situation.
Have a blessed day.
