Psalm 148:11-13 KJV
Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
[12] Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
[13] Let them praise the name of the Lord : for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
When I was growing up I used to think Praises and Worship time in church was only meant for some category of people.
I observed only a certain kind of people dance their heads off whenever Praises were sang. During collection I saw the same people dance. Some were just indifferent to the tunes, very ‘diplomatic’ dudes who carried themselves about well.
When I got a better orientation of this later in my life, I came to realise that indeed dancing one’s head off doesn’t necessarily show one’s love and commitment towards God, but at least those who do same are NOT rascals, neither are they ill-mannered.
David could not keep still to the tunes of music whenever he heard them…yet he was king. 👑
See v11-13 of today’s text, age and social class are immaterial before God. Shake that body when you have to.
Have a blessed day.
