Psalm 144:1-2 KJV
Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
One of the interesting scenes in the Matrix movie in my opinion is the when a character is given the ability to fly an helicopter, ride a bike, etc, just by programming him to do so in a less than a minute.
The programming is done in the real world and the character is able to execute in the Matrix. I had not seen a movie like that prior to the Matrix franchise. However, how to fight had to be taught, it couldn’t just be programmed.
I don’t recall who in particular taught David how to fight. All through the books of Samuel and Kings we are never told of how David learnt the skill of fighting, though we read that he was so good.
Because God knew David would have to fight to get where he had to get to, He did the ‘programming’ Himself. See David’s confession in verse 1.
God has programmed each of us with the ability to do what will take you to the top. So the question this Friday is “what is your programming?” Have you identified it yet?
Have a blessed Friday.
