PRAISES AND VENGEANCE – Wed, Oct 14, 2015

Psalm 149:6-9 KJV
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;

[7] To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;

[8] To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

[9] To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord .

As we wrap up the Book of Psalms, we are treated to a series of chapters on Praises. Yesterday we saw how needful it was to respond to the tunes and forego the needless diplomacy we are caught in at times.

Today we see another important significance of Praises in Ps 149:6-9.
When we praise God in difficult times, we also release God’s vengeance on those responsible for our plight.

I found this very interesting, and the Psalmist went on to say that all we who are His saints, have this honour. Wow!!!

This is a good revelation. Henceforth, when in distress or you feel oppressed by another, talking about it may not be too prudent, praise God about it instead and watch how things turn out.

Have a blessed day.
