Psalm 78:5-6 KJV
For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

[6] That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

Reading Psalm 78 today was more like a quick wrap of all we read in the earlier books. Verses 5 and 6 caught my attention well enough.

God has an expectation of each of us reading this stuff now. Which is to impart knowledge of Him into our children by teaching and directing them in love.

You can be sure that at the  Judgement seat, God will ask you to what extent you carried out this task. This is why you need to personally have a relationship with Him. You NEED TO KNOW GOD!

You are not expected to be learning when it is time to be teaching them. See what Paul admonished in Hebrews 5:12. You owe God that responsibility. I pray we all live to this.
