Psalm 63:1-2 KJV
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
[2] To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
I read in a book sometime ago about how a young man desired work all his life. When he started earning some good salary, his desire shifted to having a wife. That he got too in a few years, then his desire shifted to raising his family.
Babies came in and they started planning for their primary education, etc, etc, etc. It never ended. Our man’s desires kept shifting and changing with time till he died. He was insatiable!
King David experienced a similar thing with God. His love for God and desire to seek Him could never be quenched. He was never satisfied with his present state of God’s knowledge. The same could be said of Paul the apostle, he always wanted to know the Lord and the Power of His Resurrection (Phil 3:10). There was never a point of satisfaction.
It is my prayer that God will increase your thirst for Him daily, so that each day your soul will know no peace till you have fellowshipped with Him and filled with His power.
Have a lovely week.
