Job 28:12, 20 KJV
But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
[20] Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
Make some time today to read the whole of chapter 28 of Job, such a beautiful discourse on Wisdom and Understanding he puts out there.
Job compared wisdom to rubies, pearls and expensive minerals of the earth like gold and diamond and still concluded that these precious minerals were no where near Wisdom and Understanding.
Alas, he ended in a very remarkable way by confessing that Wisdom is actually the fear of the Lord (v28), as King solomon himself put it.
It is a wise thing to fear the Lord, needless to say the contrary is also true.
Our daily toils (going up and down just to make ends meet, etc) may suggest wealth and affluence is a good thing. Indeed they are! But it is a wiser thing to fear the Lord. This is real Wisdom and it is accessible to all who desire it.
Be wise!
Have a blessed day.
