Job 5:25-27 KJV
Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
[26] Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
[27] Lo this, we have searched it, so it is ; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
Not all Job’s friends were abusive and judgemental after all. At the end of Eliphaz’s submissions, at least he spoke some life into Job’s situation.
Most important in all he said, in my opinion, is found in v27, and confirms what St. Paul wrote in Rom 8:28, “…all things work together for good to them that love God…” He knew Job would be victorious after all this.
You may easily console yourself with such scriptures when the going gets tough, i.e. Rom 8:28 or some words of Eliphaz (see v17 – 24). But you may still end up dying in your misery and pain and call God a liar.
Remember God’s word is true for those WHO WALK WITH HIM. There’s no guarantee of victory in these battles no matter the number of scriptures you have heard, if heaven cannot prove your identity.
Let’s be consistent in Him.
Have a blessed day.
