Job 1:5 KJV
And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
The bible didn’t describe Job as an upright man for nothing. He did the unthinkable… what some parents didn’t or don’t do for their children. As if providing for them wasn’t enough, he went further to atone for their sins.
And this he did every time his children feasted. Job feared that in their merry moments they could have easily sinned against God and incurred His wrath. Job never wanted he himself or his seed to be in the bad books of God.
But the worst happened! Job’s worst nightmare became a reality. All the sacrifices he made for his children, could not prevent his loss after all. He lost all of them in very gruesome ways; ways Job never ever anticipated.
Your commitment and consistency in your walk with God doesn’t guarantee immunity from attacks or exemption from the enemy’s hit list. But it surely and most definitely guarantees triumph and victory in all scenarios.
Keep the walk with Him tight.
Enjoy the weekend.
