Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing.

Very interesting to read how some pagan kings, surrounded by all those many idols and probably have many diviners and soothsayers are still able to make a move for God’s will to be fulfilled.

The Jews had been in exile for 70 years now and the time had come for them to go back, to begin afresh. Who could make this happen?
None other than the king himself.

The Spirit of God stirred up his heart… All other things didn’t matter anymore.
God is capable of stirring the hearts of those who even have ill thoughts for you. So far as the time is right, NOTHING can stop you from being where He wants you to be.

This is why it is crucial that we remain in Him. There is an appointed time for you and I to manifest, and God is prepared to stir up the heart of a certain Persian king even if no help comes from anywhere. Just stay alert and move when the time comes.
