2 Chronicles 9:20 KJV
And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
Solomon’s affluence was not only found with him but the evidence could be seen in the whole of Israel.
We are told that all his drinking vessels were made of pure gold because in his days, silver had no value! It was in abundance; very cheap.
Now this is some affluence. Affluence par excellence.
I believe this is just what Solomon was trying to put across is Proverbs 10:22, and that is why sometimes I feel sad for a good chunk of the youth of my country.
Shortcuts to wealth and affluence do not exist and those who seek such paths are often fooled by the devil, because they usually come with an appendage…sorrow and pain!!!
Seek the God kind of affluence.
Have a blessed day.
