1 Chronicles 10:4 KJV
Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
We came across this story when we read through the book of Samuel. Saul knew he was about to die but he did not want to give credit to the Philistines.
His request to his armourbearer, to slay him before his enemies got there, was denied. The lad could not point his sword at his master even at the point of death. He didn’t see as an opportunity to get even with his boss, for probably all the hardtimes he’s given him. This is loyalty!
Loyalty to our leaders is loyalty to God. God expects us to be loyal at all times to those in authority, even if their plans are not in line with your own personal vision.
Stay loyal to your church, your business and your community leaders. It doesn’t make you a foolish man, it opens doors in places you least expect.
Have a blessed day.
