Joshua 19:9 KJV
Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them.

As I read this portion of scripture this morning I got a bit stuck here at this verse.
Just a few days ago we read that the promised land much bigger than the Israelites could use, and there was still more land to be acquired.

Today, however, we read that the inheritance of Simeon was confined within that of Judah!!!
Something must have caused this… The WORD of God must be fulfilled.

I found my answers in Gen 49, when Jacob (then Israel) spoke his last words to his children in his sick bed.
Thousands of years later Jacob’s pronouncements on Simeon had just began takin effect.
God is not slack concerning His promises, so His Words don’t go void, they ALWAYS accomplish a purpose.

We need to always remember to properly position ourselves not to be at the negative end of some of these utterances as they fall off the lips of men of God.
