Joshua 18:3 KJV
And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the Lord God of your fathers hath given you?
A lot of time has elapsed since the Israelites got into the promised land, and yet so much land was yet to be taken.
This was a land they had heard so many beautiful things about, so why would they still hesitate to occupy it?
Two things come to mind; either these tribes of Israel were too timid to fight or they were rather comfortable living with canaanites and using them as slaves.
Whichever one of these is true, was the comfortable option for Israelites, but precisely not what God wanted.
We might get away with a few things even though we know very well that God did not give His approval, but let’s not be fooled, they’ll come back to haunt us.
Gal 6:7 reminds us that “be not deceived, God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth…” you know the rest.
May we strive to live within His Will daily.
Have a blessed day.
