Joshua 14:10 KJV
And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.
These were the words of Caleb, Joshua’s compatriot, together with whom he spied the land of Canaan when Moses led the people.
God had made that promise to him when he was 40yrs old. At 85 now he reminds God of His promise to him some 45yrs ago.
Reflecting on this, three things came to mind:
1. How much time it took for the promise to materialize.
2. The resilience of the man, Caleb, who never gave up or forgot about the promise.
3. The physical state of the ‘promise’ as at the time he acquired it.
Time would permit me to elaborate only on the third.
Though Caleb received the promise, he still had to fight to drive out the people from the land. He had to work to see things happen.
You might not necessarily see a prophesy, a dream or a lifetime aspiration happen until you get your hands to it and make it happen. Heaven moves in our favour when we take a step…a step of faith. So kill the excuses and make the move, because one ‘promise’ has just been sitting there waiting for you all these years. Go grab it!
Have a blessed Friday.

Good piece!
Excuses won’t take us anywhere. Some miracles don’t happen instantly, doesn’t mean God has totally forgotten about you.
With faith we shall grab
