Joshua 13:1 KJV
Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.

Chapters 12 & 13 named many of kings that ruled in the lands that were supposed to be the possession of the Israelites. They were supposed to utterly destroy them all in most of the cases.

As I meditated on these in the last couple of days, the subject of ‘Holy wars’ kept tickling my mind. I remembered movies I had seen on the early crusaders and what they did, but time wouldn’t permit me to discuss this further.

No matter how you look at it, man is always in a spiritual battle with forces unseen. Think abt it, even Jerusalem had a king! (see 12:10).
You’d be living in a fool’s paradise if you thought you could just progress without rebuking some of these ‘kings.’

Many of us know well about principalities but are rather too gentle about dealing with them and end up living with them (see 13:13), causing so much chaos and trouble as we trudge along and threatening and stalling our progress.
Let’s not take these ‘kings’ for granted, we MUST cast them out!
