Acts 17:22-23 NKJV
Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious;
[23] for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:
I’ve encountered a number of people who are really religious. They don’t miss church on Sundays and seem to have a hang of most the things done it church.
They are good with the songs, and know every single one of them and can sing along perfectly. They keep the church’s calendar in mind and are present at most programmes.
Paul the Apostle, identified a similar group in Athens. He commended them for their determination, yet prescribed a better approach. They knew not the God they worshipped nor had a personal relationship with Him. They only enjoyed the association and sense of belonging!

Serving God is not a mere call to be present in the body nor just to be seen doing things. Our claim of knowing Him must go deeper… Down the recesses of our lives where no man sees, what conversations and personal encounters are we having with Him daily? Don’t just be religious, take your spirituality to the next level.
Have a blessed day. #CarllyDevotionals
