Romans 12:3,16 KJV
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
[16] Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
One of the biggest things to deal with, for men at the top, is humility. Irrespective of the power they wield, be it political or religious, staying humble doesn’t come cheap.
I find myself in a young group that was so well knit together. The bond was so strong in the past, till members started popping up ranks and advancing to higher heights. All of a sudden, shoulder rubbing became the order of the day and that deteriorated relationships really badly.
Sometimes you ask yourself whether the progress chalked was a blessing or a curse. You wish for the good old days when no one thought more highly of the themselves than they should and could condescend to any level. Tolerance was gone with the wind.

I know there are many such groups out there in similar situations, even in churches. Paul’s words are even more relevant in our days as they were in Rome. Remain humble and keep the bond of unity. We earn nothing from ‘bigmanism.’
Have a blessed day.
