DRAMA’S ROLE – Tue, Oct 15, 2019

Ezekiel 4:4,6 KJV

Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.

[6] And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

When I was a first year student in the university, I witnessed a sketch by the Drama Ministry. While I sat and watched, I wondered what place drama had at a programme such as a Spiritual Retreat. In my narrow mind, drama was merely for entertainment, as often was.

But after that short sketch and a couple more in the course of the semester, I came to learn and understand how valuable such modes of delivery proved to be, in administering God’s word… a necessary tool!

Prophet Ezekiel probably saw more drama than any other prophet. He play dehumanizing roles, just to get God’s message through. From cooking with faeces to lying on one side of his body without moving for over a year, just to paint the picture as vividly as possible. Ezekiel went great lengths, nothing close to the luxuries Christians of today enjoy.

What excuse are you still holding on to? To what extent can you overlook self and put in some sacrifice for His Word to reach others?
How much of yourself are you giving? What tools are you using to get the message through? Man, thou art inexcusable!
I pray for the grace to do!

Have a blessed day.
