Isaiah 65:17 KJV
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
The promise of new heavens and a new earth has always been a subject of debate among various denominations of Chrisianity. Every group of believers have interpreted these words from Isaiah and that from John’s Book of Revelation, in their own way.
Some have argued that newness here doesn’t necessarily refer to the replacement of the physical earth but a refresh of the individual living in it, purging it of any form of corruption, restoring the original purpose for which is was initially created.
Whichever school of thought you belong to, we can all agree that at least, evil will not co-exist with good in the eventual picture. Wherever or whatever the new heaven and a new earth represent, will be totally void of evil and its perpetrators.
This is definitely a place I would want to be and I know you’d fancy same. Let’s look ahead to that place where pain and loss will be a thing of the past; where joy and love will be truly experienced; where life will be lived at its fullest.
Let’s seek this new place.
Have a blessed day
