Isaiah 33:1 TMB
Doom to you, Destroyer, not yet destroyed; And doom to you, Betrayer, not yet betrayed. When you finish destroying, your turn will come – destroyed! When you quit betraying, your turn will come – betrayed!
Karma is one philosophy that seems to sit down well with people from various religious backgrounds. I’ve heard many, Christians and Moslems alike, make statements to suggest they believe in this old Indian philosophy.
Rightly so, each of these religions, as do most others, have some parallels to portions of the Karma philosophy. No one gets away with his actions eventually. Even if one isn’t rewarded here or now, he gets his due in the afterlife or the re-birth.
Isaiah didn’t mince words. In this piece to his people he admonished them to live right, despise exploitation, etc. (v15) because their actions would come back to haunt or bless them, no matter how long it took.
Everybody’s turn will come, so if you keep betraying but haven’t been betrayed yet, just know you are on a time bomb, the clock is ticking. In good time all you’ll hear is kaboooom!!!
Let’s treat others well, so we only reap a good return in time of need.
Have a blessed day.
