Isaiah 9:2 KJV
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
One of my prayer points each day is for my friends who walk in darkness to come into the light. Most often I present specific names to the Lord, even though I’m yet to meet physically meet some of them. Social media has allowed us to know ourselves even before a physical meeting.
But not just these people. I also pray that even those of us who have seen the light, remain in it!
Indeed, the light delivered us from the darkness, in the land of the shadow of death, our eminent end, where no hope was. It is the yoke of this burden that Isaiah says the light has broken.
Isaiah compares this deliverance from darkness to the victory Gideon won at Midian (verse 4). It was unexpected and sudden, yet brought liberation to all.
I pray that this very light will be real to you. That Light that dispels the darkness of sin, unbelief and hard-heartedness, find you now and liberate you from any form of bondage.
Have a blessed day.
