ALL WE HAVE, HE GAVE – Wed, Jun 19, 2019

Isaiah 10:5-6 KJV

O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

[6] I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Back in Sunday School we were taught that God chastises those He loves, though I don’t really remember learning about the how.

What happens to those agents or tools who God uses to chastise His own, when they become arrogant?
Assyria was such a typical nation, God used as a tool/agent to punish His beloved nation, Israel. But as chances would have it, Assyria themselves became arrogant and began to blaspheme againt the name of the LORD.

It’s one thing being successful, and it’s another thing knowing and acknowledging that which got you there. I’ve seen a few people bite the hands that fed them. In most of these cases, it never ended well.

All the resources you’ve received have come from somewhere. You may be tempted to think you got there by your hardwork, but surely, a few inputs came from here and there. That somebody somewhere pulled a certain string or two to set your course in place. So there is reason for you to he grateful and help others as much as you can. Don’t get beside yourself, you don’t want Him fighting you.

Have a blessed day.
