Psalm 105:17-19 KJV
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant
[18] Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
[19] Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him.
Having worked on a few projects with public servants, I have come to know some terms that are quite common with them, irrespective of the Ministry or Department. One such term is “advance team.”
Just as the name suggests, this team would go ahead of the rest of the entourage a few days or weeks before a main event, with a specific task to ensure the overall success of a project/event.
Much depends on this team, and care is taken in choosing its members.
It’s interesting to know that God sometimes adopts a similar mode of operation. He sends someone ahead of us to pave the way and make things much easier when our time is due. The fortunes of a whole nation, Israel, were hung on the shoulders of Joseph, their one-man advance team, according to this Psalm.
In prayer, make your innermost plans known to the LORD. He constitutes an advance team that never fails, so you can be sure He will do same on your behalf. May He dispatch your man to go ahead of you soon as you open your mouth to pray.
Have a blessed day.
