2 Chronicles 11:4 KJV
Thus saith the Lord , Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the Lord , and returned from going against Jeroboam.
How do you approach your battles?
How often do you have to fight?
How often do you win?
At what cost does fighting come?
Wasting resources (time, energy and money) on a cause that is not worthy is not desired by anyone, but more often than not, we are unable to tell at the onset what the end holds. This is where a “Shemaiah” comes in.
Shemaiah heard from God and advised against a very unnecessary onslaught of kinsmen. Everyone should be able to hear from God, but the reality is that not everyone does. Deliberately make the effort to identify someone in your life who you are convinced hears from God. Please be careful about this.
There is no need to rush in doing this as you may need to study him/her for a while… but at all cost get a ‘Shemaiah.’ You need need to know which battles are worth fighting in times like these when resources are scarce.
Have a blessed day.
