1 Samuel 31:5-6 KJV
And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.
[6] So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.
One day my wife asked me this question, “does God know the end from the beginning?”
I knew what questions were going to follow soon as I answered her. In fact, it wasn’t going to be the first time I’ve had to answer that particular question, so I wasn’t going to be caught off guard. 😊
So I started by answering those I presumed would come as follow-up questions.
One would ask that, if God indeed knew this was how miserable King Saul’s end was going to be, why didn’t he avoid it all together. Saul didn’t make himself king anyway, God chose him, so why?
The movie, Bruce Almighty, explains to a very good extent. God has given each of us a gift called FREE WILL. This gift of choice doesn’t permit God to take decisions on our behalf, unless we ask Him to, through prayer. The same gift gives us the power to choose whatever path we prefer.
God knows these paths well enough and so knows the consequences/the end result of those choices/paths we take, but certainly He won’t make the choice for you. You have to make it yourself.
I pray your choices will always be in tandem with His for you.
Have a blessed day.
