Leviticus 9:23-24 KJV
And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the people.
[24] And there came a fire out from before the Lord , and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
I can recall a number of times that God’s glory is revealed through fire in the lives of His faithful.
The account of Elijah and the prophets of Baal is what immediately comes to mind as a parallel to this eventful day, when the priests (Aaron and his sons) first began their ministry.
Fire is very symbolic of the Holy Ghost and often times has represented the very presence of God. So the consumption of the offered species by fire was clearly indicative of His presence and acceptance of their offering.
I pray that the fire of the Holy Ghost refine and purify you and your works, so that His glory may be very evident in whatever you do, bearing testimony of His presence with you.
Have a blessed day.
