Exodus 29:45-46 KJV

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.

[46] And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the Lord their God.

Why did Jews present so many different offerings to Yahweh? In this chapter alone I could count as many as seven of them:

1. Sin offering (v14)
2. Burnt offering (v18)
3. Wave offering (v24, 27)
4. Heave offering (v28)
5. Peace offering (v28)
6. Grain offering (v41)
7. Drink offering (v41)

Of course these were not all, many more would come up in books like Leviticus and Deuteronomy, yet each of these offerings were given unique treatments. No two offerings were the same.

In our time, money has become what we usually present to God as offerings, so we easily grumble when we are entreated to do that many times. It seems monotonous but it actually isn’t.
That God will dwell among us and be our God, we need to release some more offerings, He loves them 😎.
