Exodus 14:24-25 KJV

And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,

[25] And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

One idiom came to mind when I meditated on these verses; The devil is in the detail.

How many times have we heard or read about the Crossing of The Red Sea, yet missed a lot of valuable actions got took to ensure the success of His entire plot.

God gave very poor visibility, so that the Egyptians couldn’t find the Jews all night (v19-20). He also unscrewed the bolts and nut of the wheels of their chariots(v25). God sent fear and panic amidst the enemy, so that they wanted to flee (v25b), and they would have done just that.

Following the narration, I even want to believe this whole thing happened over a couple of days, not just a night. God took time to deliver His people and He doesn’t mind spending that much time to deliver you as well. May you value that commitment He has made to bring you to a state of peacefulness.
