1 Peter 1:22 KJV
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart.
Is it really possible to love one another with a pure heart? Is it really true that you can find somebody who loves unconditionally?
Well… Peter underlines two important points that he believes contributes to the purification of one’s soul.
1. Obeying the truth
2. Unfeigned love of the brethren
I’ve met people who believe the kind of love Jesus demonstrated and urged us to live out is almost impossible. This is always the case when one figures this out with the mind of humans. 😊
Love is a divine mandate and therefore requires the grace of God to live out. You can not love with your human will, it may not work. Don’t just pray to God for wealth, favour, etc. Desire to love too and pray for the grace to do same.
