2 Corinthians 6:2B KJV

…behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

I’ve heard a number of people resolve that for this/that particular year, they will live for the Lord.

The beginning of each year is plagued with many such resolutions. Sometimes it is one’s birthday or an anniversary, etc.

People usually have a predefined time they wish to stop living in a particular sin and totally live for God. I’ve wallowed in this for quite a long time, so I’m much aware. But this is folly, because it never really seem to work when you look forward to a future date.

Like Jesus told Zacchaeus, Paul reiterates in today’s text, 2 Cor 6:2B… *Behold, the accepted time is now…!!!* ‘no long things,’ as we’d say in our local parlance.

My brother/sister if you want to quit a habit and live for God, or re-dedicate your life, or get involved in ministry, please do it NOW. Now is the acceptable time, tomorrow is NOT guaranteed. That new year or anniversary may be too late. Now is the time.
