Romans 15:16 KJV
That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
In one of Rev. Eastwood Anaba’s sermons on KNUST campus while I was a student there, he justified the reason why he had not heeded to any of many invitations offered to him to go live in Accra. He was based in Bolgatanga then.
Rev Eastwood believed Accra had many big ‘floodlights’ whose lights shone brightly in the capital and until there was a specific purpose for ‘a candle’ like him, he would prove more useful to the darkness in Bolgatanga.
Now that’s very profound. St. Paul made a similar statement about his calling in today’s verse. Paul had come to realize that special grace he had to be a minister unto the gentiles. So that where others may not go, he Paul, may bring the good news of God to them.
That ministry to the gentiles is now handed over to you and I. It is necessary that you don’t just fellowship with believers but go an extra mile of talking to an unbeliever about God. His message MUST go out there, and He’s counting on you to get it there.
Have a blessed day.
