TIMES OF IGNORANCE, GONE – Fri, Nov 18, 2016

Acts 17:29-30 KJV

Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
[30] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
In Athens, Paul came across a good number of Jews who, as it were, had lost track of their religious roots. These Athenians worshipped a god they had inadequate information about. A lot of what they did bore resemblance to the original, yet the identity was lost.
One statement of Paul that moved me, in his proposal to the people is, “And the times of Ignorance, God overlooked/winked at, but now…”

The days are far gone when man could make excuses for not repenting or knowing Him. Now is the dispensation of Mercy and Grace.
Thankfully, Paul was around at the nick of time to save the situation. He taught and guided those who wanted to know, the God they had been serving all along.
We are inexcusable. We’ll all face the Judgement Seat where mercy and grace may no longer abound. Let’s take advantage while we still have time.
Have a blessed Friday.
