Acts 15:39-40 KJV
And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
[40] And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
Once the body of Christ is made up of himan beings, we can never be guaranteed of a trouble-free / problem-free Church. This is very normal!
The early church in Antioch also had its fair share of troubles, disagreements and rifts between brothers and sisters. First we are told of the mix up between the Jewish Christians and the Gentile Christians (v5 – 21), then that between two bigshots, Paul and Barnabas (v39 – 41)
But one thing is for sure, these contentions later turned out for good, because it exposed the people to knowledge through research and secondly, expanded God’s kingdom; more gentiles got engrafted into the Kingdom
The church is not made up of angels, but when we allow ourselves, God is able to turn our differences into something good for the benefit of His Kingdom.
Have a blessed day.
