Acts 14:19-20 KJV
And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
[20] Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
It is no easy task stopping a heavy duty machine/vehicle that is in full motion, unless is comes to a halt on its own. Even though it may be moving at a slow pace, its momentum makes it difficult to deal with.
Some Jews who had pursued Paul the apostle from Antioch, found him in Lystra, another gentile town, stoned him and dragged his body out of the town. But the next day, our apostle was in town again preaching to the same who stoned him to death.
Paul had a mission to accomplish. And just like Christ Himself, Paul would not be stopped until what he had to do had been accomplished.
Like these two, we are also heavy-duty equipment that cannot be easily stopped while in motion. You carry a mandate that must be fulfilled, and I pray it is fulfilled before you finally depart from here.
Have a blessed day.
