Acts 7:18 KJV
Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph.
The story of Joseph and his account in Egypt is/was one that was well known and integrated in Egypt’s history. It is therefore surprising to hear that, at a point one pharoah arose who did not know Joseph.
Egypt’s civilization was at a point where record keeping was very crucial to them. Yet, somehow, Joseph’s records were missing; definitely a calculated move to expunge the good deeds one who wasn’t a son of the soil.
We all know the result of this single one act; what trouble it brought the Jews later, and how the same catalysed their eventual departure.
Attempts to annihilate the children of God, in the long run, tend to rather catapult them to heights.
So if one dude at your workplace, church or social club is taking calculated steps to pull you down, remember there was ‘a king who knew not Joseph,’ and let your soul be at peace.
Have a blessed day.
