Mark 12:43-44 KJV
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
[44] For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
“This parable is one that surely makes it feel good to be an underdog,” I thought to myself. Yet, far from that, Jesus teaches a very powerful lesson I’d like to share.
You may have heard someone say, “I don’t sing because I don’t have a good voice,” etc, etc, etc. Just like the woman in the parable of the widow’s offering, you DO NOT need to be endowed to offer God what he requires from you.
You don’t need to be rich to give. You don’t need to be a chorister to sing. You don’t need to be an intercessor to pray for another. You don’t need to a preacher to spread the Gospel. The list is endless!!!
God requires you to give Him the best of what you have, and that could even be your time. You are inexcusable, once you have soul in you, you’ll be required to give accounts at the fullness of time.
Have a blessed day.
