Matthew 27:42-43 KJV

He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
[43] He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.
Aren’t these words common in our days? How often we throw them at others who seem to be struggling for a moment with something we all expect them to easily find their way around.
Well, Jesus too found himself in that spot, and judging from the recorded comments people passed at him while he was still hanging up there, I can imagine how he would have felt.
Is it innate to envy the one doing very well and who seems to be well loved by many? Do people truly and genuinely sympathize with that neighbour who was doing so well, but slipped along the way and all went sour?
Whenever we find ourselves in such a position where the world seems to be rejoicing at our mishap, don’t take it too personal. Jesus handled it the best way and He recommends that to us too: Pray for them. 😊
Have a blessed day Friday.
