​Zephaniah 1:14 KJV

The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord : the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

We move back into time to look at life in Israel before the Exile. Zephaniah, just like some of his predecessors spoke against the much evil of his time and prophesied doom upon Israel, i. e. Babylonian and Medo-Persian rule.

Doomsday prophets were not loved by kings in Old Testament days. No king wanted to hear from them because they knew such prophets never prophesied in their favour. They knew only one thing, to prophesy doom.
In our time, we may not have many prophets like Zephaniah, Amos and Nahum, but the signs are here to warn us.

This morning I heard about 80 are already dead in Nice, France and many more wounded.
We need to meditate more on the words of Jesus and get hit with the fact that the signs are actually here. 
The end is here and I believe are living it now. Let’s keep preparing to meet our God at anytime.
