Ezekiel 42:5-6 KJV
Now the upper chambers were narrower: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building.
[6] For they were in three stories , but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the upper chambers were narrowed more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.
Ezekiel ‘bores’ his readers yet again with some more detailed description of the New Temple he saw in his visions.
I took a minute to read a footnote from the previous chapter (i.e. Ezekiel 41) from my NKJV Bible yesterday and came across a striking revelation, which I see repeated in today’s.
The temple gets narrower and narrower at the upper chambers, suggesting that the nearer one got to God’s presence, the narrower the path one had to follow.
Jesus will later say that narrow is the road that leads to eternal life.
God has been consistent with His Word from way back, and though we may not notice, His consistency is manifested even in the simple things around us. Shine your eyes and see Him in and around you.
Have a blessed day.
