Ezekiel 41:1 KJV
Afterward he brought me to the temple, and measured the posts, six cubits broad on the one side, and six cubits broad on the other side, which was the breadth of the tabernacle.
This chapter reminds me of the instructions God gave Noah when He wanted the Ark built, and those He gave Moses when he wanted the tabernacle and worship items put together.
Solomon had his share of these same instructions when He was putting up the Temple.
So what’s with all these detailed instructions on dimensions and measurements when it comes to building the things of God?
One thing that easily comes to mind is that He is a God of precision.
Though God wants you to do it, He doesn’t want it done anyhow. “If it must be done, it must be done well.” I presume this slogan goes down well with Him.
We can never measure up to His level of precision. His timing is just perfect, His methods are flawless and His results are always lasting. We can only emulate and mirror this perfection by doing what He’s given us to do and doing it very well.
Have a blessed day.
