STALE-NESS – Wed, Apr 13, 2016

Ezekiel 7:15 KJV
The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

Imagine yourself in a walled community whose gates have been shut for close to 2 years. The famine and hunger is severe inside those walls. Outside these gates are warriors with swords ready to slash open those who still managed to escape.

This was the situation just before the Jews were captured into exile. For a great while they were trapped in their own city. None could leave, none could come in. A good example of the devil and the deep blue sea.

One could possible reach a state of staleness spiritually, when one drops way too low. I hate to say that far too many Christians are in this state; totally indifferent to matters of their spirituality.

Bearing the tag ‘Christian’ but that is all there is to it. Dabbling in things that are not worth the calling.
You may actually end up worse!
Get yourself some spiritual activity and DO NOT GET STALE.

Have a blessed day
