Ezekiel 3:18 KJV
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Ezekiel had had a divine encounter with God. His mission had been clearly defined and had been directly teleported or better still carried by the spirit to the destination of his mission. But what do we see?
For a whole week, Ezekiel did not make any move! I can understand how he felt. It wasn’t a thing he had done before. Where was he going to begin? How were the people going to receive his message? I believe many such thoughts rushed through his mind.
God immediately knew the reasons for his inactions, so He sent Ezekiel a simple message… “I’ll require their blood at your hands.” (3:18).
Once a believer, you cannot be indifferent about what goes on around you. Many of us say, “It’s not my business!” Indeed it is.
You’re actually not responsible for ONLY yourself but for others too. This puts LOVE in proper context. Their business is your business so warn the perishing, it is your job to do so.
Have a blessed weekend.
