Ezekiel 1:1 KJV
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
A few days ago, I read about a South African pastor on a news website, who claimed he went to heaven during the Easter and took selfies. In the same news item a colleague Kenyan pastor claimed he could peek into the Book of Life and check whose name is or not in.
Both pastors, of course did these at a fee. You paid to see the selfies he took in heaven or to check whether your name was inked in God’s book.
We read Ezekiel’s account of what he too saw of heaven when they were being taken captive.
But unlike our two friend-pastors, Ezekiel caught a glimpse of the spiritual beings (angels), what I’ve come to learn from Benny Hinn to be known as the The Cherubims. Ezekiel’s account in chapter 1 reveals a lot about the glory of God this space alone wouldn’t permit us to discuss.
There’s more to God than we can ever imagine or think, and yet all these are screened from our eyes for our own good, I believe.
With diligence in the study His Word, we get to be more enlightened, so that we are not swayed by any wind of doctrine or the lies of men.
Have a blessed day.
