Jeremiah 21:4 KJV
Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.
One day you went to a quiet place to pray to God for success in an exam you’re about to write, or for favour in an interview, etc.
But almost immediately the pastor, priest of the place taps you on the shoulder and says, “you’ll fail in what you’re seeking, God will fight against you Himself.” How would this feel?
This is what response met the diplomats the king had sent to Jeremiah to enquire about the impending battle.
At a point, even the merciful God gets sick of our sins. They get so pungent that our mere presence choke Him.
This is actually NOT God’s will for you. His Will is for you to remain in His marvellous light, not to keep living in sin. How I wish we wouldn’t get to this level of depravity. Make peace with Him now, I have so pleeeeease do!
Have a blessed day.
