Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it , saith the Lord .

What strong words the Lord had for His own people, the Israelites. The next time Jesus made a similar statement was when he encountered the traders in the temple and overturned their tables.

Ideally, the Lord expects His father’s house to be a house of prayer and not otherwise (Is 57:7). Jesus quoted this in Matt 21:13.

Any congregation whose motives are similar to what Jeremiah described in this chapter is nothing more than a den of robbers. In fact the Lord has seen it with His eyes, he wants you to be aware.

Robbing people in the name of the Lord, to satisfy the needs of one man, and promote his personal agenda, will all be tested by fire someday, and assuredly,  they shall have their reward.  Be wise with the congregation of your choice.
